GENERAL INFORMATION
Dr. Ashcraft performs surgery at Augusta University’s Children’s Hospital of Georgia (formerly MCG) on Wednesdays. Our office may be closed at times when we are attending continuing education seminars, performing outpatient dental surgery at the hospital, and for holidays. However our answering machine will record messages whenever the office is closed and a staff member will promptly return your call.
We request that you kindly give our office at least a 48 hour notice if you are unable to keep your appointment (this excludes sedation and nitrous oxide appointments). This courtesy allows us to give your child’s appointment time to another patient who needs our care and could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.
Emergencies
If your child should need emergency dental treatment, Dr. Ashcraft can be reached at any time by our electronic phone system. If a message is left on the office answering machine, the machine will alert Dr. Ashcraft's cell phone and she will promptly return your call. This service is only for Dr. Ashcraft’s current and active patients.
Telephone Calls
Parents are encouraged to call the office with any concerns or questions they may have regarding their child’s dental health and dental visit. The office staff is highly trained and qualified to assist you with most questions. Dr. Ashcraft cannot leave the children during their treatment, and if a call requires her personal response, she will return your call at her earliest opportunity. The billing staff handles all billing inquiries.
